Mini Nationals Events:
Beauty:
Beauty will be performed in a pageant style dress. The stage will be set up in a traditional back T formation. We are looking for a total package. A beautiful face, clothes that fit well, and a wonderful personality. You will be judged on Facial beauty, attire, personality, and stage presence. 1 ½ Minute Time Limit.
Optional Events: (Highest score(s) will be used for Supreme Titles)
Modeling Events : 2 Minute Time Limit
American Doll Wear: This is an anything goes event. Outfit needs to be red, white, and/or blue. May be costume, casual wear, sportswear, western wear, etc. Modeling style is your choice. Props are allowed. You may supply your own music, or we will provide patriotic music for you. BE CREATIVE!! You are judged on your attire, overall stage presentation, personality, & creativity.
Anything Goes: This event can be pro-am or casual wear modeling. It is your choice so do what makes your child comfortable. You can wear sportswear, swimwear, western wear, casual wear etc. You are judged on your attire, overall stage presentation, personality, & overall impression. You may enter a 2nd and/or 3rd Anything Goes event. Your highest score will be used.
Talent Event: We will provide a hand held mic. If any other equipment is needed, you will need to provide. The highest of your talent or modeling event will be used towards supreme titles. There is also a grand talent title. There is also a Talent Queen in each division. You will be judged on overall impression, stage presence, ability for age, and audience appeal. 3 minute time limit.
Photo Events: (Highest score(s) will be used for Supreme Titles) Bring all photos to registration clearly marked with contestant’s name and age division. Please have single photos in a plastic sleeve to protect the picture and portfolios in a secure binder. All will be returned at the close of the pageant. You may enter extra pictures for $10 each.
Color Photogenic: Judges will be looking for a color head shot, 8 x 10 or 8 ½ x 11. This event will be judged on Overall Impression, Clarity, Facial Beauty, and Expression.
Black and White Photogenic: Judges will be looking for a black and white head shot, 8 x 10 or 8 ½ x 11. This event will be judged on Overall Impression, Clarity, Facial Beauty, and Expression.
Natural Photogenic: Judges will be looking for a color or black and white head shot that has not been retouched in 8 x 10 or 8 ½ x 11. This event will be judged on Overall Impression, Clarity, Facial Beauty, and Expression. Judges will deduct points for any noticeable retouches.
Composite: A composite is a collection of your favorite head shot photos and portfolio photos. Your composite should all be on the front of one page/board. Judges will be looking for Variety! Judging for this event will include Overall Impression, Quality, Variety, and Expression.
Portfolio: YYour portfolio should be a collection of your best photos. Both headshots and ½ to full-length shots. Both inside & outside photos. Variety is important. You may have up to 15 photos. All photos must be in individual photo sleeves assembled in a binder. Judging for this event will include Overall Impression, Quality, Variety, and Expression.
Mini National Awards
Mini National Awards Package:
Beautiful, Custom Mini National Rhinestone Darling Doll Crown, Satin Monogrammed Banner, Mini National Gifts and Banner Pin, Awards throughout the year and an awards package when you return to complete your reign and give up your title.
1 Ultimate Grand Supreme
Ultimate Grand Supreme Queen will be awarded to the one who has the highest total score in beauty, 2 highest photo events, and 2 highest optional events. Winner will receive a $1000 Savings Bond and a Darling Dolls Mini National Awards Package and Supreme Entry and registration fee Paid to Grand Nationals ($690 Value).
9 Grand Supremes Level 1, 2 and 3 for each (0-3, 4-9, 10 & Up)
The Grand Supreme Queens will be awarded to the contestants who have the next highest total score in beauty, 1 photo event, and 1 optional event. Your level is determined by your prior winnings since January 1, 2003 for one title (photo contest not included). A 0-3, 4-9 and 10+ Grand Supreme Queen will be awarded in each level.
Level 1 – Has won $0 - $250 (Not more than $250)
Level 2 – Has won $251 but not more than $1000
Level 3 – Has won $1001 or more
Winners will receive a $400 Savings Bond, a Darling Dolls Mini National Awards Package and Supreme Entry Paid to Grand Nationals.
3 Ultimate Beauty
Supremes 0-3, 4-9, 10 & Up
Ultimate Beauty Supremes will be awarded to those who have the highest scores in the beauty event. Winners will receive a $300 Savings Bond, a Darling Dolls Mini National Awards Package and Supreme Entry Paid to Grand Nationals.
3 Mini Supremes 0-3,
4-9, 10 & Up
This title will be awarded to the next highest combined scores from beauty, 1 photo event, and 1 optional event. Winners will receive a $200 Savings Bond, a Darling Dolls Mini National Awards Package and Supreme Entry Paid to Grand Nationals.
1 Grand Talent Winner
This title will be awarded to contestant with the highest score from Talent. Winner will receive a $100 Savings Bond, a Darling Dolls Mini National Awards Package and a $200 Discount to Grand Nationals.
2 Novice Supremes 0-5,
6 & Up
This title will be awarded to the contestants that have never won more than $1000 at one time (not including photo contest) since January 1, 2003. This award will be based on highest combined scores from beauty, 1 photo event, and 1 optional event. Winners will receive a $100 Savings Bond, a Darling Dolls Mini National Awards Package and a $200 Discount to Grand Nationals.
Beauty/Photo Supreme
This title will be awarded to the contestant with the highest combined scores in Beauty and 1 photo event. Winner will receive a $50 Savings Bond, a Darling Dolls Mini National Awards Package and a $200 Discount to Grand Nationals.
American Dream Doll
American Doll Wear is a special event for us! Because of this, we have this special and prestigious title! This title will be awarded to the contestant with the highest combined scores in Beauty and American Doll Wear. Winner will receive a $50 Savings Bond, a Darling Dolls Mini National Award Package and a $200 Discount to Grand Nationals.
Americas Darling (4 &
Up) and Darling Baby (0-3)
This award will be awarded to the contestants with the highest facial beauty score during the beauty competition. Winners will receive a $50 Savings Bond, a Darling Dolls Mini National Awards Package and a $200 Discount to Grand Nationals.
Supermodel Supreme
This title will be awarded to the contestant with the highest combined scores in 2 modeling events. Winner will receive a $50 Savings Bond, a Darling Dolls Mini National Award Package and a $200 Discount to Grand Nationals.
Personality Supreme
This title will be awarded to the contestant with the highest personality scores in 2 modeling events. Winner will receive a $50 Savings Bond, a Darling Dolls Mini National Award Package and a $200 Discount to Grand Nationals.
Photo Supreme
This title will be awarded to the contestant with the highest combined scores in 2 photo events. Winner will receive a $50 Savings Bond, a Darling Dolls Mini National Awards Package and a $200 Discount to Grand Nationals.

This award will be awarded to the contestant with the highest American Doll Wear score. Winner will receive a $50 Savings Bond, a Darling Dolls Mini National Awards Package and a $200 Discount to Grand Nationals.
Overall Anything Goes
This award will be awarded to the contestant with the highest Anything Goes score. Winner will receive a $50 Savings Bond, a Darling Dolls Mini National Awards Package and a $200 Discount to Grand Nationals.
Overall Best Fashion
This award will be awarded to the contestant with the highest fashion score in the beauty event. Winner will receive a $50 Savings Bond, a Darling Dolls Mini National Awards Package and a $200 Discount to Grand Nationals.
Overall Photogenic
This award will be awarded to the contestant with the highest photogenic score. Winner will receive a $50 Savings Bond, a Darling Dolls Mini National Awards Package and a $200 Discount to Grand Nationals.

Queens
There will be a Divisional Supreme Queen crowned in each age group. This
will be the contestant with the highest score in Beauty, 1 photo event,
and 1 optional event. Winners will receive a DDA Mini National Awards Package
and a $200 Discount to Grand Nationals.

Queens
There will be a Divisional Beauty Queen in each age group. This will be
the contestant with the highest score in the Beauty event. Winners will
receive a beautiful rhinestone crown, satin title banner, Mini National gift and
a $150 Discount to Grand Nationals.
12 Divisional Novice
Supreme Queens
There will be a Divisional Novice Supreme Queen awarded in each age
group to the contestant who has not won more than $1000 previously at one
time. This title will be awarded based on your beauty score, 1 photo
event, and 1 optional event. Winners will receive a beautiful rhinestone
crown, satin title banner, Mini National gift, and a $150 Discount to Grand
Nationals.
12 Divisional Talent
Queens
There will be a Divisional Talent Queen in each age group. This will be
the contestant with the highest score in the talent event. Winners will
receive a beautiful rhinestone crown, satin title banner, Mini National gift and
a $150 Discount to Grand Nationals.
Side Awards:
The following awards will be
awarded in each age group. Everyone is automatically entered in these
awards if you enter the event. Winners will receive a very nice Mini National
gift each.

Program Book
Program Book:
Each contestant must submit a wallet size photo along with your
registration form, entry form, and deposit. (Pictures can be emailed in
.jpg format to:
darlingdollsofamerica@yahoo.com. Please include your name, state,
and sponsors with your picture. Each contestant will be featured in our
Mini National Program Book. Judges will be using our program book as a reference
tool. Your picture must be included. Deadline for pictures is 1 week
prior to pageant date.

Fees off Mini National! Contestants may choose to have businesses or
family members sponsor them by advertising in our program book. 75% of
everything sold will be credited towards your fees.

SALES WILL GO TOWARDS YOUR ENTRY FEE! All ads must be ready to
print and may include your photo. Make checks payable to: Darling Dolls
of America. Ads and checks must be received atleast 2 weeks before Mini National
pageant date. Full page ad: $50; half page ad: $25; Business Card: $15 (in
other words, sell full page and receive $37.50 off your fees, sell half
page and receive $18.75 off your fees; sell a business card size ad and
receive $11.25 off your fees). Good luck wishes are $2 each. We will
have an overall ad sales queen who will receive a beautiful crown,
banner, and a Mini National Gift. (Must sell 10 full pages minimum for title to
be awarded.)
Cover Girl & Print
Model Queen
Cover Girl:
Submit your headshot photo by either email or mail by 1 week before
date of pageant. $30 for first photo and $10 for each additional
photo or Unlimited for 50.00. Winners will be featured on the front of this year’s Mini National
program book and will receive a $100 Savings Bond and a Darling Dolls
Mini National Awards Package and a $200 Discount to Grand Nationals. This title
can be double crowned. Winner is eligible for all other awards. Our 1st
Runner Up will be featured on our inside cover and will receive a
beautiful crown, banner, prizes, & $150 Discount to Grand Nationals.
Judging for this event will include Overall Impression, Clarity, Facial
Beauty, and Expression.
Print Model Queen: We will select one Print Model Queen.
This will be a portfolio type picture and will be featured in the center
of our program book. Please submit your portfolio photo by either email
or mail by 1 week before the date of the pageant. $30 for first
photo and $10 for each additional photo, or unlimited for 50.00. Winners will receive a $100
Savings Bond and a Darling Dolls Mini National Awards Package and a $200
Discount to Grand Nationals and be featured on the back cover. Our 1st Runner Up will be featured on our
inside back cover and will receive a beautiful crown, banner, prizes, &
$150 Discount to Grand Nationals. This title can be double crowned.
Winner is eligible for all other awards. Judging for this event will
include Overall Impression, Quality, Variety, and Expression.

Rules & Regulations

1. No bad sportsmanship allowed. |
|
2. Stage will be in a T formation with 3 x’s across the back and one at the front. There will be a line up before beauty stage competition. No line up in other events. |
|
3. No checks accepted at the door or 2 Weeks prior to pageant date. No refunds on deposit unless pageant is cancelled. Money will be applied to next year’s Mini National Pageant or National Pageant at director’s discretion. |
|
4. You may compete you age as of 1/1/2008. By competing at a Mini Nationals, you can lock in your age group for Nationals. You may move up a group if you wish but NEVER back. You may move up a group if you wish but NEVER back. |

5. Refer 5 people not on our list who come to your Mini National pageant and you may enter the supreme package free. Refer 10 people not on our list and enter the ENTIRE pageant free. **Your name must be on the referral line and a deposit must be received by the deadline date (1 weeks prior to pageant date) to receive credit for the referral. You should send in your deposit and forms to secure your place in line up. If you refer 10 contestants that meet the above requirements, your deposit will be refunded to you at registration in the form of cash. |

10. Age groups are never combined. If an age group reaches a large number of contestants, we will consider splitting. No guarantees. |

11.Pageant normally runs on time. Please cooperate with us to help make the pageant run smoothly. A final schedule will be given out at registration. Please be on time for each event. If you are not in line when your name is called, you will have to compete at the end of the group. However, no points will be deducted. We will never start an event early unless everyone is lined up. If we are running behind, we will post and updated schedule at the door. We will try our best to stay on schedule but will keep you aware of any delays so you can plan accordingly. |
|
12.There is a time limit of 1 ½ minutes for beauty and 2 minutes for all other modeling events. When your time is up, the contestant will be thanked and should exit the stage. There will be NO DEDUCTIONS if the contestant has not finished their routine. |
|
13. Contestants 2 years old and under must be accompanied by an adult during line-up. No exceptions. |
|
14. No cameras of any kind will be allowed in the ballroom. A professional photographer and videographer will be on hand for stage shots and videos. All Queens will be required to stay after crowning for group and individual pictures for next year’s promotional materials. |
|
15. You may use one discount/package price for the pageant plus an Early Bird Discount. You may use the highest discount earned. Darling Dolls of America does offer a sibling discount. Pay the first child’s supreme entry in full and siblings may enter the supreme package for ½ price. To use your discount your deposit, emcee sheet, and registration form must be in our office 1 week prior to the pageant date. Discounts will be void after this date. Discounts are not transferable from one contestant to another or from year to year. |

16.Line up will be set 1 week prior to the pageant. After this date, you may not change your line up request or change your age group. NO CHANGES WILL BE MADE AT THE PAGEANT. |
|
17. Crowning will be in Beauty attire, crowning attire, or Darling Doll Wear (if appropriate) |
|
18. 2007 Mini Nationals Ultimate Grand Supremes are not eligible to compete
in the SAME 2008 Mini National pageant but can compete at any other 2008
Mini National pageant. All other Mini National Royalty can compete at
any of the 2008 Mini National pageants. However, if you compete at a
mini national pageant, you give up any previous title and the ability to
reign with that title |

19. Judges decisions are final. |
